On April 18, 2024, the “Introduction to Anti-Gypsism” training was organized by IKAP in cooperation with the Office for Good Governance of the Office of the Prime Minister. The purpose of this training is to increase the knowledge of the participants about the term anti-Gypsyism, to raise awareness among public officials about anti-Gypsyism as a specific form of racism which is often expressed with violence, hate speech, social stigmatization, as well as other forms of discrimination. . Moreover, the training aims for the participants to be able to identify the elements and ways of showing anti-gypsyism, as well as to encourage them to work on defeating this specific form of racism in Kosovo.
Officials from central and local level institutions participate in the training. The trainer is Qendresa Ibra Zariqi. The training was held in the premises of Hotel “Sirius” in Pristina.
