The Institute for Public Administration in cooperation with the project “Institutional Development for the Modernization of Municipal Services” co-financed by the EU and the German Government and implemented by GIZ, held the closing ceremony of the trainings in the field “Development of Capacities in Integrated Waste Management Sector” on which occasion certificates were distributed to the participants.
U.d Director of the Institute for Public Administration Ms. Lule Isufi, opened the ceremony by welcoming the leader of GIZ, Mr. Stefan Mager and the staff of GIZ, the participants and all those who enabled the successful completion of the training.
The training program is specifically designed for target groups at the municipal and central level, regional waste management companies, the Association of Municipalities of Kosovo, the Association of Waste Management Companies, the Agency for Environmental protection of Kosovo and civil society
Training “Capacity Development in the Integrated Waste Management Sector” took place on October 19, 20, 24 and 25, 2023 with three groups of participants, IKAP in close cooperation with the “Institutional Development” project for the Modernization of Municipal Services” co-financed by the EU and the German Government and implemented by GIZ- has organized a 4-day training program in the sector of integrated waste management.
58 participants from municipalities took part in the training.
Mr. Stefan Mager, project manager thanked all the certified, IKAP and all those who participated in the organization and development of these trainings, where among other things he emphasized that these trainings represent the first steps to start and discuss the current situation, challenges and opportunities to move from one stage to another towards the sustainable development of waste management.
Other activities are expected to start early next year.
