EU Environment Academy
Do you want in-depth knowledge about EU membership and the integration of the EU acquis in the field of environment? During 2023, the Swedish EPA in cooperation with the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) will launch a second edition of the online course “EU Environment Academy”.
Course topics
The course will be divided into three modules designed to cover the entirety of the EU acquis under Chapter 27 on the Environment, including the accession negotiation process.
General knowledge of EU institutions, treaties and legislation, including how directives and regulations work. EU enlargement, approximation and accession steps, including EU review and negotiation processes. Detailed study of Chapter 27 and the directives contained therein, eg directives relating to nature protection, waste management, water, air quality and environmental information.
